Back From Maui

Despite the silence on this blog, I have safely returned from Maui. It was a great trip and Maui is now my favorite vacation spot.

The filming of Gospel Journey Maui was an incredible experience. To protect the integrity of the final product, I can not say much here, but it was a privilege to be on hand and help however I was able. When the final product comes out, I have no doubt that it will make a huge impact and be a great tool for student ministries and beyond. Greg has more.

I feel like I am almost caught up (at least my inbox is empty) and back in the groove. However, I really miss the island.

Maui Update #2

Still having a blast in Maui. Carol Ann has the pictures and the coconut cracking!

Great Food ~ Running with challenging elevation changes has been a blast ~ Weather........not cold! Perfect ~ Amazing sunsets ~ Snorkeling is pretty much the coolest thing I have done in the last few years.

Tomorrow more snorkeling and we head out to harpoon, check out whales. Friday some golf and a Luau.

Off to Maui

Tomorrow morning Carol Ann and I leave for a couple of weeks in Maui! Our first week will be pure vacation, while week two will be helping with a Dare 2 Share filming project.

The last two days have been spent getting ready and making sure everything is covered while I am gone. I have such an awesome staff that I don't really have much to worry about. They always handle things well. And my daughters make leaving home pretty easy because they are responsible and well... they are not 5 years old anymore. Hopefully they will remember to feed the dogs.

I plan to send along some updates, but who knows, I may just spend all my time at the beach.

Brazil in Pictures!

We have returned from Brazil! It was a great trip and I thought that I would initially share my experience through pictures. I have however added some captions that you can read if you click on the pictures.

My bags are Packed and I'm Ready to Go!

Tomorrow it is off to Brazil! I am looking forward to some time off, and my first journey to South America. This trip is all the better because it will include my wife and some other close friends, including Scott and Dan.

My blog will probably be quiet while I am gone, but I will share the experience once I return!

Daytona Dream

Yesterday was a dream come true. We attended the Daytona 500. Our seats were awesome and the race was terriffic. It was a little cold but that did not dissapoint our enthusiasm. Sure Jeff Gordon struggled, but his teammate Jimmie Johnson won the race.

Carol Ann said that she enjoyed the race, so I am taking her at her word. I do know that she enjoyed the pre-race Bon Jovi concert. Maybe that is why she is always asking me to grow my hair out!

We had scanners that allow you to listen in on the conversations between driver, spotter, and crew chief. Carol Ann really loved this feature, plus she was able to hear words like, *#$$@@!!!, &h#)^%%!, and #!^&%5 %%#22#4!!

Orlando Update

We are having a BLAST in Orlando! 

On Tuesday, I re-proposed to Carol Ann and gave her a new wedding ring.  We did this on Cocoa Beach and it was very cool.  I'll write more about our trip once it is over.  Until then, you can enjoy some of our pictures at my PHOTO ALBUM or here.
