I wish baseball could get a "do over". I think those 88 names or whatever it was, is just the tip of the iceberg. Sad.


I wonder what slice of responsibility belongs to the fans. Ultimately it is a consumer driven market. The decisions made by the owners and players are driven by money which is provided by fans. Collectively the fan base has control over the game, and they are getting what they pay for.

I'm not a baseball fan so maybe I'm out in left field, but the game I went to that involved Bonds had almost every seat filled. If the fans are disgusted by this era of the sport why are they paying money to watch? (And demand that their team win at any cost. Although they might not admit it their money doesn't show up when the team is losing.)

or maybe I'm off base . . .
